It's that special time in the south.....PECAN SEASON!!! Al and I scored 40 lbs of pecans that needed shelling so it was all hands/claws on deck:-) Needless to say - Rosie has been a VERY busy bird. Between the sorting, cracking, cleaning and roasting...man, every now and then a birds gotta take a time out and savor a nut or two.
She really was having a great time waddling all over the table, grabbing a nut and them taking off. Of course she had to find a "choice" one. Too funny. She's such a busy body she LOVES getting into anything that's happening around her.
Al and Rosie play this game, when he offers her a plastic bottle cap she FLINGS it as far as she can and then waits for another. The other day she was chewing on a piece of wood from one of her toys and had dropped it. Al handed it back to her and she promptly flung it! This went on a few times. Then I picked it up and gave it to her - she took it politely and began chewing it again like a lady. So we took turns handing her back her wood. She flung it when Al gave it to her and kept it when it came from me. I swear, you could see her thinking - you hand me that wood again, I'm throwing it as far as I can so I can watch you pick it up:-).... She sits there with her head cocked sideways so she can get a good view...She knows he's such a push over! (you think she's checking out his butt???)
